As it is supported by Leatherman's 25 year guarantee, it is very well engineered, but in comparison to several other tools both bigger and smaller in size, it doesn't appear to be quite as tough. It also might seem a little small to people with bigger hands.

On an important note, even with the lack of numerous tools on the Kick, it does suffer from Leatherman's infamous problem, tool clumping. Why is it that a handle with as few as three tools built in, all pull out in the case that you try to get only one? With each new generation of pocket tools, this negative point should be a forgotten memory.

The Leatherman Kick is a decent tool at a good price, but not a good choice for a heavy user or a bigger person. My suggestion is that it's better suited as a small tool for a lady's handbag or as a child's first tool. It is a "cute" tool for people that rarely need tools although like to be prepared.
